[Our donors’] partnership with us makes our work possible!
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I love being able to excite donors about the work that we do and their invaluable part in it. Their partnership with us makes our work possible!
What is your favorite Bible verse/book/chapter/section? Why?
“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” Timothy 1:17
I don’t know that I have a favorite, but verses like these remind us that Christ–the perfect example of the Father’s love–came into the world for ALL of us. And we are all in need of Christ’s mercy and redemption. The reminder keeps us honest, humble, and grateful.
Where are you from? Where did you grow up?
A northern Virginia native, I was born on Fort Belvoir. I was raised in Manassas and reside now in Nokesville with my husband and our three sons.
What are your hobbies?
I’m a Civil War reenactor and until October of 2014 served as the volunteer Communications Director for Historic Faith Ministries, a group that seeks to educate the public about the United States’ religious heritage through live historical interpretation with a focus on the Civil War years. I also enjoy costume sewing, dancing, needle arts, gardening, bookmaking, and horseback riding.
