Cutting Through Complexity
In the vast and varied landscape of church work, pregnancy center outreach, and Christian service, it’s easy to overcomplicate our objectives. Often, we find ourselves trapped in analysis paralysis, where overthinking leads to inaction. I get it…I have found myself from time to time with my feet firmly planted in the inaction category. This, however, doesn’t have to be our reality moving forward. Might I suggest another simpler way? Let’s simplify our approach with three clear, actionable steps that everyone can remember and implement, grounded in the scriptural mandates of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. These are not just tasks; they represent a lifestyle that, if lived out, epitomizes a life well spent.
Elevate Jesus
First and foremost, we Elevate Jesus. He is the cornerstone of all that we do, and our primary mission is to lift Him higher in every aspect of our work. Whether through worship, service, or our daily interactions, elevating Jesus means showcasing His love, grace, and truth to all. By keeping our focus on Him, we ensure that every initiative and interaction is rooted in His teachings and example, fulfilling the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).
Engage with Stories
Next, we Engage with Stories. Storytelling is not just an ancient form of communication; it’s a powerful tool that brings the work we do to life. Through stories, we share the impactful transformations that occur in the lives we touch—be it through our church, our center, or personal testimony. These stories engage our audience’s hearts and minds, illustrating the real-life applications of faith and inspiring others to love God and their neighbors as themselves, echoing the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39). Stories can paint a picture and communicate the why behind our work, the need for partnership, and the real life implications both good and complicated of serving others.
Empower with Action
Lastly, we Empower with Action. Every story and every message is paired with a call to action. We provide practical ways for our community to get involved, from simple daily acts of kindness to more significant commitments like volunteering or advocacy. By empowering others with specific ways they can contribute, we move beyond mere awareness to active participation, practically living out the Great Commandment and fulfilling the Great Commission in tangible ways.
A Call to Action
These three pillars—Elevate, Engage, Empower—guide us in a straightforward path through the often-complex world of ministry and service. They remind us that at the heart of our efforts are simple truths that call for simple actions. Grounded in the teachings of Christ and the mission given to us through the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, if our lives are marked by these three principles, we can indeed say they have been well-lived.
This approach isn’t confined to our ministries alone; it’s equally effective in our homes and communities. By implementing these principles as we raise our families and interact with our neighbors, we foster environments of love and discipleship that resonate beyond our immediate circles. Join us in this simplified approach to make a profound impact, and together, let’s live out the Gospel in every aspect of our lives—extending love and transformation into our homes and communities, raising future generations that will carry on this mission as they Elevate, Engage, and Empower.
