When Care Net center services expert Yvonne Williams interviewed Kim Triller, a surprising number came out:
453.
That’s how many local churches join Care Net of Puget Sound in serving women and families in their communities.
Kim says:
“We currently partner with 453 churches, that are involved in the center. We have 280 volunteers serving from more than 100 different churches in our area. We lay doctrinal differences aside and focus on serving the Lord. Through a program with the Tacoma Health Department we also collaborate with 18 African American churches in the “Black Infant Health” program. Each church adopts single moms living in their areas and provides for their needs. It is a wonderful thing to witness.”
Kim leads seven centers serving two counties in Washington state. You won’t want to miss her advice on fundraising, leadership, volunteer management, and work / life balance in the rest of this fascinating interview.
