Angie Ivey
Pregnancy Decision Line Director
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
I love helping people. I have the privilege each day to assist women and men who are making pregnancy decisions. It is truly rewarding when clients ask us to pray with them, state they are thankful they talked to us, or changed their mind and are parenting their baby.
What is your favorite Bible verse/book/chapter/section? Why?
Psalm 139 is my favorite chapter in the Bible. This chapter tells us how special we are to the LORD. The creator of the universe, created you and me. He designed us in our mother’s womb and states we are wonderfully made. The LORD knows me! I am amazed every time I read this chapter!
Do you have any weird phobias?
I am horribly afraid of insects and especially praying mantises. When I was in 7th grade, my science teacher assigned a 100 insect collection project. It was the most terrifying time in my life as I had to find, kill, label and place 100 bugs on a big piece of styrofoam. I still may need therapy. LOL
Where are you from? Where did you grow up?
I am from Clinton, Oklahoma. Clinton is a small town in western Oklahoma. It was a wonderful place to grow up. I grew up with a ton of friends, riding horses, playing outside until dark and attending high school football games. Clinton is located in a tornado alley. Our school mascot appropriately was a Red Tornado.
What is something people don’t know about you?
My husband Joe and I eloped when we were young. We were the talk of town as he was the First Baptist Church pastor’s son. However, after an exciting start, we built a beautiful life together with three daughters and five grandchildren.
