…You gave her the courage to consider adoption for her baby
When a mom calls our national hotline, she almost always feels like she’s facing an insurmountable crisis that only abortion will solve. A hotline coach’s job is to assess the situation, and then often show her that the crisis isn’t a crisis… And that the problem is solvable without abortion.
But sometimes the crisis is more serious than just peer pressure to abort her baby. Sometimes the moms who call are facing real danger.
That’s what Cecilia* was facing.
Julius* (the father of her baby) had an explosive temper, and she had the marks to prove it. Cecilia really didn’t want to have an abortion. She had canceled her last appointment. But when he found out, Julius was furious. He threatened her with far worse than bruises if she put it off again.

The words ‘Learn about your options and what to do next’ felt like a sign from heaven.
She waited until Julius was gone, then made the call to our hotline. She was glad she did. The calm voice on the other side of the phone, Sally, listened attentively, asked encouraging questions, understood her situation, and was ready to help. When Sally mentioned adoption as an option, something clicked for Cecilia. Maybe she could still save her baby.
A New Plan
Julius was obviously not someone she wanted in her baby’s life and she knew she could never marry him. By the time she got off the phone, Cecelia knew what she wanted to do. Her coach had given her people to contact that could help her get away from Julius and an appointment with a local pregnancy center to help with her pregnancy.
Living in this broken world, there are times when a mom cannot safely raise her baby. Thanks to your generosity, moms like Cecilia can still give their children a bright future through the ministry of adoption. Thanks to you, their babies have a chance at the abundant life God wants them to have with loving parents who will raise them in a safe and godly home.
