Pregnancy centers continue to offer steadfast, professional care to women and families in today’s post–Roe v. Wade landscape, delivering more than $452 million in services in 2024.

Such are the findings of the recently released report, Pregnancy Centers: Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care, a collaboration of survey data provided by the Charlotte Lozier Institute, Care Net, Heartbeat International, National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, and Focus on the Family Option Ultrasound Program leadership.

The report analyzed national survey data from 2,775 pregnancy centers in all 50 states. Key findings include:

  • Pregnancy centers served over 1 million new clients—equivalent to each center welcoming a new client every day in 2024.
  • 2,775 pregnancy centers provided over $452 million in medical care, support and education programs, and material goods. Vital services to women, men, and children included pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, parenting education, diapers, wipes, formula, outfits, and more.
  • 8 in 10 centers are providing free or low-cost medical services, staffed by over 10,000 medical professionals.
  • Tangible, material support has skyrocketed—over $116 million in value, a 48% increase from 2022—showing that pregnancy centers are meeting real needs of families.
  • In 2024, 29% of pregnancy centers provided Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) as a service and 77% provided post-abortion support.
  • Client satisfaction rose to 98%.

“Rising client visits and overall satisfaction are undeniable proof these centers are improving lives,” said Karen Czarnecki, executive director of Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI). “It’s imperative that pregnancy centers continue to increase the availability of services—walking alongside women, men and families to provide love, education and support so they can courageously choose life.”

The information in Pregnancy Centers: Rising to the Occasion with Unwavering Care proves that, despite opposition from abortion advocates in the post-Roe era, pregnancy centers remain undeterred in their mission. The report, the fourth installment of CLI’s Legacy of Life & Love Series, also demonstrates that pregnancy centers are experiencing continuous growth since CLI’s first national report in 2017.

Dr. Sandy Christiansen, national medical director at Care Net, called the recent findings “priceless.”

“As an OB/GYN physician, I am astounded by the numbers presented in this report because they represent thousands of lives saved and touched by the Christ-like support and skilled medical care provided by centers,” she said. “From 2017 to 2024, there was a 60% increase in the number of ultrasound exams—each one affecting three lives: babies spared from death, and women and men protected from the heartache and risks associated with abortion.”

Considering the transformational influence that pregnancy resource centers have on communities nationwide, including Care Net’s network of 1,300 centers, let this new report encourage and energize the dedicated staff members and volunteers who each day bring hope, compassion, and help to those facing pregnancy decisions. Let it also be a call to action for Pro Abundant Life people to prayerfully support these centers, ensuring they have the resources to continue serving with unwavering care and courage.
