“The future is male and female.”

Lisa Bevere went viral for those five words. But behind that statement is a much bigger conversation about identity, the image of God, and what the Church has lost sight of.

We were created male and female, each uniquely bearing the image of God. Yet somewhere along the way, rivalry has taken the place of recognizing the value and purpose God gave each of us.

As Lisa puts it, “Rivalry is robbing the Body of Christ.”

In the latest episode of Care Cast, Lisa joins Care Net President and CEO Roland Warren to talk about discovering who we are through pursuing God, why the sanctity of life is a hill she is willing to die on, and why it’s time for the Church to “preach restoration to every area that has suffered loss.”

And for those already doing the work of restoring hope to mothers, fathers, and families, Lisa has a special word of encouragement.

She shares a reminder from A.W. Tozer:

“We can be in our day what the heroes of faith were in their day—but remember at the time they didn’t know they were heroes.”

To the staff and volunteers faithfully serving in pregnancy centers, you are the heroes unaware.
