Elena was what many would think to be a typical young, American woman. She wasn’t married and wasn’t really sure when she wanted to be. She didn’t go to church, but she still thought of herself as a Christian.

Her current boyfriend was fun. Neither of them knew if it would ever be something serious, but they knew they enjoyed spending time together. The road ahead looked easy enough. At least, that’s what she thought until she took her pregnancy test.

As soon as she saw those lines, her heart stopped. She was pregnant with his baby. Instantly, the good feelings evaporated and fear took hold of her heart. “What am I going to do now?“ she asked herself. Almost at once, she knew the answer: she’d get an abortion. It was time to put this accident behind her and get back to her life.

Elena went online to find out more about abortion. Thanks to you, she found the number for our national hotline for parents actively considering abortion””Pregnancy Decision Line”” and called it. One of the things that makes our hotline unique is our emphasis on sharing the Gospel whenever possible. Our coaches always look for opportunities to have a spiritual conversation with callers. When asked to describe her beliefs, Elena said she was a Christian. But when the hotline coach asked her to explain what she meant by that, she confessed she didn’t really know.

The coach then walked her through the Gospel and Elena chose to pray a prayer of repentance right then and there!

Before she picked up her phone, Elena was dead in her sins and her child was on the way to dying in an abortion clinic. But then you intervened because you chose to support this ministry. Because of you, she saw that ad for our hotline and her coach could compassionately and effectively share the Gospel with her.

Elena told her coach that she no longer was certain about abortion. Now that she’d met God, she didn’t know if she could go through with it.

Her baby has a second chance.

Can you please continue to pray with us for Elena, and other parents in her position?  Thank you for saving lives not just in the womb, but for eternity!
