When truth gets personalized, disagreement can feel like an attack. In this episode, Roland Warren and Vincent DiCaro examine how the “my truth” mindset shuts down honest conversation about abortion and why real love, justice, and the gospel call for objective truth.

What you’ll hear:

#1 When truth gets personal, debate turns hostile.

If truth becomes personal, then every conversation where you disagree becomes a personal attack. That mindset fuels division and makes honest talk about abortion impossible, because critique sounds like contempt. Loving our neighbors begins with agreeing there’s a truth outside of us.

#2 We still need a thermometer.

The thermometer is the objective truth. Feel hot or cold—you still check the reading. On life issues, that “reading” includes the reality of unborn human life and the vulnerable who deserve protection and a voice.

#3 Good news needs real truth.

You cannot have good news without objective truth. The gospel is good precisely because it’s true for everyone—exclusive in source, inclusive in invitation. That’s why Care Net calls churches to disciple moms and dads toward life and abundant life.

Why listen:

Equip yourself to speak with clarity and compassion, protect the vulnerable, and lead your church or community with grace and truth.
