Care Net hosts our annual national conference for those who serve with compassion, hope, and help. It’s always a blessing to connect, be encouraged, and find rest with like-minded folks. These three highlights are things that happened during our 2024 National Care Net Conference. We presented these awards and scholarships to spotlight the following: our Affiliate Photo Contest, the Regent University scholarship, and the Guy Condon Award.

What follows is a recap of our awards and scholarship winners. All were announced and awarded at the 2024 Care Net National Conference.

In the spring of 2024, we asked for photos showing the difference your pregnancy center makes in the lives of those within the community. We had many photo submissions, and we loved every single one of them! This was a difficult contest to judge, but we are thrilled to share our top three winners.
Grand Prize Winner: Life Choices Memphis, Memphis, TN
“Family Picture” submitted by Rachel Davis
The Baby Prep mentorship program at Life Choices Memphis prepared this mother and father for the important roles they play in their kid’s lives.
2nd Place Winner: Fort Worth Pregnancy Center, Forth Worth, TX
“Siblings” submitted by Jamie Bryant LaTrice (mother) is grateful that the Fort Worth Pregnancy Center helped her choose life. She loves seeing the bond her son has with his new, baby sister.
3rd Place Winner: Pregnancy Care Center, Old Hickory, TN
“Parenting Class Family” submitted by Lisa Cathcart
The Pregnancy Care Center reaches the most vulnerable, including new neighbors in their communities. Their Spanish and Arabic group parenting classes not only offer hope and practical help to individual families, but they also provide a pathway for connection and community.
#2 Care Net 2024 Guy Condon Award
Choices Pregnancy Resource Center of Chattanooga, TN
The Guy Condon Presidential Award was created to celebrate a center that exemplifies Care Net’s Pro Abundant Life vision.
When choosing a center each year, we consider many things.
Are they reaching clients at risk for experiencing abortion and helping them choose life?
Are they sharing the Gospel consistently as God opens doors?
Are they welcoming men as clients and promoting healthy marriages?
Are they cultivating healthy church partnerships and connecting interested clients with grace-oriented churches?
And, finally, are they fostering a culture where women and men are working at the center to function in unity?
We know that all of our affiliates work hard and strive to meet each of those benchmarks in serving their clients which makes choosing a winner difficult each year. This year was no different.
As we prayerfully considered each pregnancy center for this award, there was one that stood out in their commitment of care – particularly in the areas of welcoming men as clients and promoting healthy marriages.
Last year, Choices Pregnancy Resource Center welcomed 465 new male clients through their doors. Additionally, of those male clients, 338 of these men were fathers of the baby – whom they helped minister to about the importance of healthy marriages. This team exemplifies the importance of reaching the abortion-minded woman and additionally reaching the father so that their children have a better chance of growing up with both parents actively involved in their lives. The work being done each day isn’t only strengthening their clients, but it’s strengthening their families.

#3 Regent University Scholarship Recipient 2024
Jenna of Alpha Center – Sioux Falls, SD
It is a joy and an honor to award a four-year scholarship to Regent University to one of your outstanding clients each year. The process of selecting a recipient has been both inspiring and challenging. Each nomination showcased individuals who have demonstrated dedication, leadership, and potential, making this decision incredibly difficult.
After prayerfully examining each candidate, we are happy to announce that our 2024 Regent University scholarship recipient is Jenna who was nominated by Alpha Center of Sioux Falls, South Dakota! Jenna was nominated by Alpha Center’s Client Services Supervisor, Djuana. She had this to say about Jenna,
“Jenna has been a complete joy to get to know since she first came to Alpha Center. Naturally coming to a strange place in an unexpected pregnancy and opening up her heart to a total stranger was out of her comfort zone. Jenna, however, faced this vulnerability head-on and never looked back. She has shown tremendous growth in both her desire to learn how to be a great mother to her son and her desire to grow spiritually. Jenna is a remarkable young woman who has impressed our whole team immensely with her commitment, dedication, and drive.
With every conversation with Jenna, she displays a passion for an intense love of learning. This keeps her excited and moving day after day. So many times in conversation, she would teach me new things about her journey as a mom. I am truly impressed by her curious and innovative mind. She is like a sponge, soaking up all knowledge and understanding and putting it to use. Jenna has been such a blessing to the Alpha Center staff, and we are excited for her future.”
Care Net and Regent University presented this scholarship on stage to Jenna while she stood with her husband and her 14-month-old son.
