The recent report on the declining rate of abortion in the U.S. was encouraging. But it started me thinking . . .

What if we won in the fight for life? What if we woke up one morning and the Supreme Court had overturned Roe v. Wade? Even if the 1.1 million abortions that take lives every year became illegal, unplanned pregnancies would not be. Are we prepared to win?

Some 85 percent of women who have abortions are unmarried1. Research shows that single mothers are more likely to have low birthrate babies and live in poverty. Is that winning?

And their children are more likely to use drugs, fail academically, and face teen pregnancy themselves. Is that winning?

The sad truth is that we don’t do enough in the pro-life movement to impact what happens after birth. I believe we are called not just to fight for life, but for ABUNDANT LIFE for the unborn!

That is the kind of life Jesus Christ came to give (John 10:10).

That is the kind of life Care Net is working to provide. Our Pregnancy Decision Line (PDL) is offering encouragement and life-saving hope, while our pregnancy centers offer resources that empower parents to give ABUNDANT LIFE.

One key to an abundant life is the family. We must make an effort to engage men as fathers and loving husbands to mothers. Kids raised by married parents do better.

Care Net is working to provide ABUNDANT LIFE for children. Your prayers and support empower us to take an integrated, comprehensive, family centric approach to this issue.

Because life decisions require life support, we are building solutions and partnerships that are not just about saving baby, but about raising a child. That’s what your support helps accomplish.

When we strive for ABUNDANT LIFE for the little ones saved from abortion, then, and only then, are we prepared to win.
