Later that week, Kara and Dave attended their first parenting class at the local Care Net affiliated pregnancy center — the first of many steps toward learning how to care for the baby they’d chosen to welcome. Through the class, they earned “baby bucks” they could use to shop in the center’s baby boutique where they picked out some of the items they desperately needed as they got ready for their baby’s arrival.
