Offering Compassion

Martina was controlled and abused by her boyfriend. In her second trimester, her boyfriend became physically violent and demanded she have an abortion. She was welcomed by a compassionate voice on the other end, and received the help she so desperately needed.  By the end of the conversation, Martina felt she had the support she needed to keep her baby, no matter what her boyfriend said

Having a Hand in Hope

Kim* was in her first trimester and struggling  with severe depression. Worse yet, her baby’s father was pressuring her to have an abortion even though she didn’t really want one.  In her hopelessness, Kim started going back to church. She found the Pregnancy Decision Line through Care Net’s website and, when she made the call, she felt safe talking to the coach who answered.
