Client Advocate, ICU Mobile

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

There are many rewards from being a client advocate for our mobile pregnancy center. The most rewarding part is the chance to share my compassion with my clients, and to empathize with them, to provide a listening ear and show them that someone does care. By doing this and creating a bond with them, it further allows me to share with them the hope there is in Jesus Christ, which is the ultimate reward.

Why are you pro-life?

I believe human life begins at conception and because of this belief, abortion is termination of a human being. Not only a human being but an extremely vulnerable one not able to advocate for himself.

Do you have any weird phobias?

When younger I had severe phobias of spiders and flying in a plane. I’ve since grown out of those. One that remains is agoraphobia. I can do crowds and large spaces but I have to have a planned escape in case of an emergency, I have to know there is an exit. I also have a fear of heights.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include gardening, visits to the lake, crafting and photography. My daughter and I love when spring comes and it’s time to play with our bulbs in the dirt. We enjoy watching all the different buds pop and the growth of each plant. Our family is always visiting the lake whether in summer for swimming and collecting beach treasures or walking on the frozen waves in the midst of January. I’m always working on a craft project whether it involves our collected beach treasure, yarn, buttons or paint. I really enjoy photography while exploring nature and have dabbled in maternity, engagements and a wedding.
