But, thanks to your help, she chose life

You make sure they have a chance to choose life and live life abundantly according to His will. Because, just like Mary, sometimes embracing God’s plan for your life is hard. Leslie* found this out firsthand when she discovered she was pregnant . . . again.
A hardworking mom who struggled to make ends meet, Leslie already had several kids – including a very young child. So when she began feeling those familiar symptoms of pregnancy, she was not enthusiastic. And when she took a pregnancy test, she was crestfallen when it came back positive. Almost right away, she began thinking about abortion.
Leslie – who prided herself as a mom doing everything to provide for her kids – felt like bringing another child into the world was just too much. She didn’t want to give up on her baby, but what could she do without support? Desperate, she got on her phone and turned to the internet to try to brainstorm options. That’s when she found Care Net’s Pregnancy Decision Line – a national hotline funded entirely through your generosity.
The hotline coach who answered the phone, Deborah, told Leslie there was a pregnancy center nearby ready to help her. She also shared information about local churches with special programs that help working moms.
Assuring Moms They Aren’t Alone
Leslie felt better, but she was still worried. She’d agreed to go to an appointment Deborah set up with a local pregnancy center, but she was still worried about how to provide for another child. Deborah said she would pray for Leslie, and she joined with other hotline coaches to ask that the Lord would work on Leslie’s heart during her appointment.
And then they said goodbye, with plans to talk again later in the week.
When Deborah got back in touch with Leslie, she was ecstatic to hear the news that Leslie had chosen LIFE for her baby!
Christmas is a time where we remember that our Lord entered this world with us as a tiny, precious baby. But just like then, there are challenges facing moms. Planned Parenthood wants to sell the idea that abortion is the best option – hiding the truth about what it really costs. But thanks to you, moms and dads making pregnancy decisions have a place of refuge where they can get the help they need.
